Marina d'Or Golf: The Concept

Marina d'Or Golf is a “Holiday Resort”. Designed as a new city dedicated to tourism and leisure, offering a huge variety of services to its visitors, with high visitor rotation and an urban structure specially designed from the outset for recreation, service and visitor satisfaction.

It replicates, on a larger scale, the successful model already tried and tested in the MARINA D’OR Holiday Resort. One of the resort’s main aims is breaking the seasonality of tourist occupation, with tourists coming all year round (as is already the case in the Marina d’Or Holiday Resort). With a strong hotel component, the project will feature shops, restaurants, entertainment, 3 golf courses, mini-golf, a bowling centre, a spa, an artificial beach and artificial open air dry ski slopes.

The public installations and services are designed to achieve the above named tourist needs. This is not designed to be a dormitory town with first homes. The idea is to create a focus of high tourist rotation right next to the port of entry into the province – Castellón airport.

Although the project’s land area has been zoned for urban use since the original urban plans were passed in 1980, with the approval of the final version of the Partial Zoning Plan on the 23rd of April 2010, the exact urban development permitted in the area has been defined with absolute precision.
